Muirshiel Centre was established in 1991 as a local charity (Registered Charity No sco18185) and is managed by a voluntary board of directors who represent our local community. The Centre is operated by a staff team of professionally trained individuals dedicated to the care and support of our service users. We are committed to  providing a quality, responsive day services that meet the needs of older people with support needs residing both locally (Port Glasgow / Kilmacolm / Greenock East) and from across Inverclyde.

The Centre caters for a wide range of individuals including those who are frail and elderly, those who are socially isolated, have dementia, anxiety or depression, learning disabilities or mental health problems. Activities are tailored to each individual to keep users productively engaged recognising the need for social, physical and intellectual stimulation.

The centre is registered with the Care Inspectorate (service ref no CS2003001098) and an approved provider with Inverclyde Council and the Health and Social Care Partnership (HSCP)
